lotus twin cam engine parts

Postby johnd8008 » Mon Dec 21, 2015 10:02 am

Hi all
merryxmas.gif
Some of you will know I'm rebuilding john Kingcott's old Escort twin cam as a road car and it seems I'm missing a few engine parts. I have the timing case but no internals, the standard cams are shot and I'm sure there's a dozen other bits I'll need. I do have the modified sump but it has been modified for racing with oil pick up journals (catch tank). I'd be happy to swap for a standard sump (twin cam Escort) if someone intends to modify theirs for racing.
If anyone has any road engine parts (race parts seem to be easier to find) that aren't being hoarded under grandma's bed please let me know. I'll buy a complete engine or just parts.

all the best for the new year and a general thank you for all those members that answer the queries and provide information on this forum.

Hi John, give my brother Colin a call on 0438 441 480. He should be able to help with most bits I think.
Cheers Peter

Hi John. Ive also got some bits. I bought a complete TC engine from an S2 Elan a few years ago for parts to build a race engine. The non race bits I still have like cams, cam sprockets, 125E rods and pistons, a L block ( as needed a 120E block), timing case, as i went for a burtons rebuildable one.
