Zinc plating in Brisbane

Postby Damion Parkin » Wed Sep 26, 2012 1:17 pm

Hi all,

I am looking at re-plating all of the door locks/ stiker plates, various nuts and bolts etc on a Mk1 Escort.

I beleive these items were zinc plated in a gold type finish originally?

Can anyone recommend an electro plating company in the Brisbane area? I have tried contacting a couple of places out of the yellow pages, but they either no longer exist or do not do zinc plating.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Damion

I used a firm out at Strathpine - quality job and good prices.

Can't recall their name, but I could go through the folder of receipts to see what I can find.

I thought there was a big firm at Toowoomba that specialised in this - I almost gave the work to them
There are people who make things happen, people who watch what happened and those who have no idea what happened - which one are you?

We use this company all the time at work for all our zinc plating.
They are based in Virginia and do both silver zinc and yellow zinc plating (you might have to wait longer for them to run a yellow zinc batch).
