Try a bit more timing - at least another 2 degrees maybe 4. When we ran a GTS4 we regularly hit 8000rpm and it didn't really start making power until 5500rpm+, hence the shift to the HT1E which gave us the mid range back.

Glenn where is the cam timing set up to

Has been a huge final effort. As of 2am the car is ready to go bar an oil change as it still has running in oil in it. So so tired.

Cam timing was set at 10 initial then a max of 28-29 he said. Looking at the power graph it only shows somewhere around 110kpm. Not sure what gear they do these runs in though but his comment was that it was only around 6000rpm. Will find out tomorrow if I will have fun or be embarassed!!!

I tried to play with the brake bias bar but have no idea where to set it!!! What does it mean when the threaded bar is threaded in more towards a particular master cylinder? More bias to that master cylinder I suspect? Any pointers there would be appreciated

Glenn thats ignition timing and not cam timing
If you're in a rush just wind the balance bar all the way to the from and slowly wind it to the rear till it starts to wiggle a bit in the rear and then wind a turn of front on

Do your self a favor and get some one to bolt cheak everything even the engine ie the radiator!!!!!!!!!!! we did a similar build at the lead up to the last WARC event and the radiator came loose it took the fan belt off and he DNF on the with 2 stages to go also the extractor came loose and a few other bits.

Getting out there and having fun with what you have got is better than having all the power and DNF because of one bolt!

We did a bolt check last night. Found a few loose :(

Sorry Danny, sleep deprived and not thinking! Not sure where the cam timing lies. Can only assume RaceTune did it correctly but then again they did leave the oil seal out.

But which way am I turning the balance bar to make it all front?

just wind it all one way doesnt matter wich way
then go on road test
on a strait bit of road go hard in 3rd & lock the brakes up
if you spin that means its all rear
if your head wants to go thru the windscreen that means too much front bias !
idealy you want the fronts to lock just as the rear is starting to break away
as a starting point
once you find ideal setting , count how many turns on the knob from front to rear
then write it on the dash with a marker pen

It was only a long blink.......promise!!!!

The car performed well although I wasn't trying to go too hard. The rev limiter seemed to be starting to cut in around 6000 so need to get that set properly.

Brakes squeal like mad so not sure if not bedded in properly and/or glazed or just how Ferodo 3000's are?

They're still there according to this timing. 10th on stage 8 so far, up to 13th overall.

Looks like we are progressing nicely. We have finished all stages with only one spin due to missing a corner (pulled the handbrake and straight into first...would have looked nice ).

I am very surprised with the results as I have been purposefully driving conservatively and the car has not reved over 5500 yet due to a limiter issue. That was fixed at the end of the day so it should only get better.

good one buddy, hope it is making the hours and dollars worth it. I cant see how it wouldnt but stranger things have happened. Keep it up and get some photos up etc after th event.
Car looks good and will get better. Not bad for a shakedown.
