Escort Auto Tunnel

Postby Damion Parkin » Sat May 12, 2012 3:12 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am chasing an Escort auto tunnel or a rusty auto Escort shell that I could remove a tunnel from. I have recently purchased a larger T5 gearbox for my Mk2, so I require a larger gearbox tunnel.

Preferably in Queensland.

Thanks,

Damion

Hi Gary,

I didn't know such a thing existed !

Danny, dare I ask what it would cost to take it off your hands??

Thanks,

Hi Aaron,

You are probably right. At the pace I have been progressing with the car over the past few years I will be patient and see if something turns up, Otherwise I will price up getting one fabricated or buy one from Smcka.

Cheers,

after putting an auto tunnel into my last 2 shells I wouldn't do it again & would fabricate the larger sections required to fit the gearbox in better

the main reason is lack of space in the footwell with the clutch pedal - no room for a foot rest

just my 2 cents worth

Hi Scott,

Fair point, my old man is of the same opinion. I have had a few Escort's with auto tunnels and it has never bothered me that much.

Cheers,
