Pinto on Engine Stand

Started to get my engine up on the engine stand this arvo but soon realised I dont have the right bolts. Is it best to mount the engine using 4 of the various holes where the bellhousing attaches? The weight of the assembled engine versus the thickness of the metal doesnt look right? Better to ask, look silly but be cautious rather than destroy a preped block!!!!

Must be a low cost engine stand like the one I have ....
Use 8.8 grade bolts and thick washer to bolt the engine to the stand.
My mate has proper engine stands but cost 3 times as much as mine.

The thin metal i refer to is on the block. It is a cheap engine stand but my concerns are that I may break the block where the bellhousing attached by using those holes for the engine stand. 8.8 is a good suggestion.

make up a plate that bolts to the engine mount, and weld it to the piece of pipe that comes with the stand. that way the engine is mounted 90 degrees to the stand, if you know what I mean

i am happy to have the motor straight my only concern is that the weight of the fully assembled motor will break one or more of the 4 bellhousing bolt holes.

Ta mate. Seems most people use the 4 bolts on the side but good to here end 4 are good too.....I'm not an engine person :(
