Alternator Adjusting Bracket.

Guys I need an alternator adjusting bracket urgently. The one on the Ghia has snapped in half!!!

Don't panic!!!!!!! All sorted. The belt tension was holding the bracket together. It was even still charging. Drove the 30ks to Brissy, broke into Danny's garage, found a bracket and fitted it and got to work 1/2hour late!! Didn't even wake him up! I think I locked the garage again...........
He might be wondering where the two piece alternator bracket on his garage floor came from and why the brakes on his racecar are still warm....

P.S. If anyone wants any engine parts stress tested give them to me. I'd forgotten how effective standard Pintos are for this purpose!!!

do you know whats next on the list gary ??

maybe ?
the clutch fork failure ?
or
the pressed in brass fitting in the carby falls out
or
rear drums seize up
or
clutch cable snap
or
the steering rack bush gets wobbly
or
the fuel gauge stop reading
or
indicators / wipers malfunctioning
do i need to add to this list ??????
or should we all take class legal action & claim
against the ford motor company ??

Last 12 months. Diff centre, 1 gearbox ( replacement on the way out with the same issue ), speedo cable, 2 alternator brackets, 1 waterpump, fuel gauge now hardly works..........what have I forgotten ?

Ah yes and the starter is misfiring more and more often. That would be the solonoid wouldn't it Steve?

Sounds like a worn ring gear.
