AN fittings for brake lines

Postby ozstang65 » Sat Feb 25, 2012 1:47 pm

Hi all, I'm going to be using Steel AN brake fittings and flex hose to fix up the mess I made the other day and have a question. When terminating 3/16" brake line with a tube nut and sleeve to go onto an AN fitting, do you still need to do the double flare on the end of the line?

A few other issues to look at, the AN fittings are 37 degs and the brake double flares are 45 degs.
Plus you may need longer tube nuts for full thread engagement.
