Well finally got around to start fixing her up for this year’s season.
Got another block bored ready to go (for another set of casties :) )
Fitted a set of “Danny specials” rear springs (hope to help the balance of the car)
Upped the fronts to 300lbs and trying to fit a new 22mm bar…..

What would you recommend as a maximum anti-dive bar height ??
I have seen them from 25mm to 50mm.
Currently I have a 25mm spacer, but have moved the inner TCA pivots up 20mm (for a better roll centre). So there’s a difference of 45mm between the pivot points.
Your thoughts ??

It's pro-dive untill the sway bar centre line is level with the TCA inner.

Anti when the bar centre line is below the TCA inner.

No dive to anti for my 0.022c inc GSt.

Yeah, both inner pivots points are very close to parallel to the ground, so I have zero anti-dive.
I'm just wondering if I should put a small percentage of anti-dive into it or not (lower the ARB further)?? What do you run ??

Had a quick look through the file, cant see any at the moment. I dropped in the Zetec last week to see how it fits and its using the same gearbox mount. I'll take a pic and post it.
Not sure what you mean by 'before and after' ??
When I built this shell up it was only ever fitted with a Supra box, so no before and after.

Are they rubber and how is the noise and vibration transfer (I realise it's a race car but...)?

Don't remember to part #, but it was a shackle bush with the largest OD and smallest ID I could find in the superpro catalogue. Started with their blue material, but ended up with rubber.
Still has a bit of vibration, but don't know if a std mount would fix that ??

But as I've made a wholesale change with the suspension (yet again), probably wont know if it helped or not

The new 22mm bar I got custom made by a "reputable" manufacture isn't quite up to standard....
Apart from the different shape left to right, the threaded ends were bent at the machined base and not the bar itself
Looks like I'll have to use the old 24mm bar for now.

Hopefully the stiffer rear springs will lessen the under steer.
