Cranked Tarmac steering arms;

Has anyone got a set of these that are spare? I've got some Gartrac ones coming - happy to pay for them now or replace with the new ones - as need for an event next weekend and unlikely the others will make it in time.

In Melbourne.

Not cracked, cranked. There is a number of ways of addressing bump steer and these assist that (on my car).

Michael you'd be far better off using a regluar set of arms and tweaking them on the wheel aligner to dial out the bump steer or use spherical joints and tweak the heights onto the arm with spacers as I bet the bought ones wont be correct to suit your car as they'll all be different

Thanks Danny that's what we've already done. The hope is that this will reduce the size of the spacer thus reducing the length of lever that acts on the steering arm. We understand the new ones may require the same tweaking you speak of.

From the rule book:

9.5 Front suspension components: Steering tie rods may be replaced provided they are derived from an eligible vehicle. Stub axles, steering arms, hubs, bearings and tie rod ends are free. MacPherson strut tubes are free. In cases where the steering arms are separate components, it is permitted to fit spacers between the steering arm and stub axle assembly using extended bolts.

You're right Danny billet would be ideal. Maybe something for the off season.
