Oil Tank Capacity

Postby johnw » Mon May 23, 2011 10:43 pm

What would be considered a acceptable capacity for a dry sump oil tank, am looking at 2 gallon peterson tank, due to space restrictions in boot of Mk1 2 door, is this a little light on considering it would be US gallons??

2 gallon peterson is what I have for my Mk1. The capacity is on recommendation of Danny M.

As a check;
2 x 3.7854 = 7.57 litres
x 2/3 tank capacity used
= 5 litres
+ 1 litre in lines
~6 litres total oil
