New Bloke & MKII 2 Door

Hey guys!
Just new to rsmotorsport and a proud new owner of an Escort!
Just brought a 1975 MKII 2 Door 'L' Escort 1.3L with full Factory Ford Rally pack. One of only 941. Ford Factory 2.9 Quick Ratio steering. Already has mini lites on it and top end Silverstone tyres. Paint is all original, minimal rust, only in rear guards (tiny) -50cent piece) and overall the car is 99% immaculate. 177,000ks on the clock, all original.
Local car and brought from a local friend.
I have plans to fit a 2.0L Pinto with mild head work, valves, cam and Twin 45 DCOE Weber's (if I can make my mind up) headers, full exhaust, up grade brakes, suspension and reupholster the interior fully original apart from a RS2000 dash cluster and a seat of adjustable/reclining Recaro seats.
Maybe take it in the Targa Tasmania/Targa West Point one day :-D

I cant wait to start on this car and have been waiting to get ahold of a good Escort as an investment!

Welcome to the forum Hinzie! That car brings back great memories of my 1st ever Escort. Luckily you missed out on the Dealer fitted vinyl roof!! It must be another one of 941.

They're very very durable! Let me know if you would like a front spoiler, i'm making a couple of fibreglass ones (the ford ones) if you're interested.

I'm in Hobart as well, my father knew chris gray, so may get in contact.

Yeah its a great little car.

Have many things planned for it, but nothing over the top, mainly under-the-bonnet work (Thats where all you guys will come in handy for all the questions/issues you've have with modifications/engine builds ha ha)

Will be definately keeping the 1.3L engine and keeping it in the shed for safe keeping - but the 2.0L Pinto will be built and eventually whacked in!

Will take some more pics for you guys when its raining!

Ohh rotory huh
- my best mate has a hot S3 RX7 with a $30k donk in it - goes like the clappa's but not my cup of tea though!

I need pistons and a big screaming set of carbies! :grin:

I got in touch with PowerPlay Autos Vic as they built a top MKII Escort that raced in Targa 2005, hence I'm in Tassie, they might be able to help out.
