Escort Mk2 rear spoilers........

Hello All,

I am looking for a rear spoiler to suit Mk2 Escort RS2000/Rally Pack.

Are there any new after market rear spoilers available as per Ford original? (ie the same design in rubber)

Is there a company manufacturing them?

Peter,

As far as I'm aware no one does them. Would be a good thing to get remanufactured if someone had the money to put up for the moulds.

Last NOS one I saw on ebay UK went for about 650 pounds. :shock:

Wish I'd bought a few back in the day's when they were available :cry:

Exactly my thoughts too ..... :cry:

This afternoon I have just started to experiment with patterns and tooling to manufacture a spoiler as per original. :idea:

I think can be done with a maximum of 5 patterns and should be a concourse quality repro.

.....But I guess will see how it turns out over the next few weeks....

Hello Errol,

The development of the tooling is well underway and so far very successful. I expect development will take several weeks before the first spoiler is produced. There is a lot of work to produce the patterns and tooling, and then hopefully the successful spoiler.

I think I would happily pay the GBP650 as the cheaper option to manufacture. But then I did always like pain and suffering........
