Another weekend of fun, and it was good to catch up with everyone who stopped by and said hello.

Sorry if I didn't say goodbye to anyone, but I loaded up early, then basically got hounded out of the place by officials who didn't want my van and trailer parked anywhere LOL

I had a few frustrations over the weekend, it seemed whenever it got to my runs someone would crash right in front of me, I had 2 runs aborted halfway with yellow flags, so had to re-run both of those, then had 2 incidents that kept me on the startline, one for about 30 minutes, and being a person from a much colder place, (who has yet to acclimatise to the Qld humidity and heat) I was sweating buckets after spending so much time in my nomex and bright red mobile sauna, I must have drank 4 litres of water/gatorade and diet coke but I still felt very dehydrated on the way home.

I had a great time on the couple of clean runs I got, and ended up beating my PB by over 2 seconds, even if I did get a penalty for scaring a witches hat until it fell over

Well done to all who had good runs, I know Jeff did very well, and beat my times by about a second, Mark_D beat his PB by a second, and Belly was flying too, Danny as usual was miles ahead of all of us.
I missed the last run so it would be good to hear how everyone finished.

inprovment on last year.

Not sure where you where in class Mark C but well and truly up there.

I have some excellent "outcar" video footage so I'll get them on the tube asap, footage on the front tyre's attitude is amazing. Got a great vid of one of Dan's starts

I took 590 photos on Saturday and Michael was also there with his camera (with much larger lense). I also took some video, but as the kids have gone over the download limit (again) I won't be able to post any large files for a couple of days. Good to see you all had a great time (although stinking hot) and I am looking forward to competing again next year.

Yes was a great weekend for the spectators as well with the weather holding out, but didn't it piss down on the way home! I'm glad everyone from here had a clean, trouble free weekend with no damage and some great results, congrats!! Here are some pics from the weekend.

That is why I stuck to panning shots as i just can't get in close enough!
Also the standard 80-300 "Ultrasonic" just doesn't focus fast enough on Auto Focus.

Hi Gary,

Mate, thanks again for the lift back up "The Hill" much appreciated. You should have done all right with the 80-300 as most of these i shot on the 80-200 except for the front on ones (turn 6) where i used the 300mm... Anyway, here's a couple for all the Mk1 Fans.

im sorry i didnt get up to noosa on the weekend ,but it looked like a nice colection of small fords all havin a bit of fun ! marky d must get the award for most enthusiastic new driver of the year !! wich must earn him a guest drive next year of an escort of his choice . (ownwer permitting) ???????

but it was good to see some pics of the old cortina,s & the odd capri etc .
