Hey,

Do any of the pinto engines have anything in common or is it just the name? Can you use parts from the 2.3 turbo on a 2.0, etc etc??

As Roger has pointed out about the only common part they share is the name. Pity as since that engine has been around for 30 odd years in the US you can get some really trick bits for it.... 2.8L strokers, alloy heads etc. Have a look at www.esslingerengineering.com to see what you can get for these motors.

They actually don't even share the name as a 2000cc pinto and the 2300cc 4 cam bearing type engine is actually a Lima
The commonality and the reason the pinto word stuck is because they were both fitted to the Ford Pinto car
