Hadn't really given it too much thought to be honest but I don't think it should present any problems. Pickups are at the bottom of a wedge-shaped sump and the tank is foam filled. We'll see how it goes.

Hey Scott what is the pan brake rate too and where did you get it?

I've been thinking about getting one as well.

Hi Marty, the claimed maximum thickness for the panbrake is 1.0mm, you might get away with something thicker if it's only a short piece, but I haven't tried yet.

A couple more bits sorted, the clutch cable arrived yesterday and I picked up the exhaust system today, some minor assembly still required....

Got the locknuts for the rear suspension installed, need to tidy up the other rear shock and install it too. They're Konis that the previous owner (and we won't mention any names, but he knows who he is) had painted Smurf blue.

If you didn't like the colour you didn't have to buy them. The colour is Ford corporate Blue

However after the buying the product, their colour chart is NOTHING like what appears in the can (short of Black, white, silver etc). Guy at the Speed Shop reckons the paint was good for another 5HP

Next brief update, running out of time , still lots to do.

Engine is pretty much done, looks like there's still a few nuts and bolts to tighten but no major work to do.

Well, there goes another busy weekend, still a couple even busier ones to come I feel.

All the strut components are made, just need to make a trial fit to feel comfortable with the location of the threaded tube. All the rear suspension is in, brakes still need sorting.

Rusting in the usual location, isn't as bad as some I have seen, but still enough to warrant some fixing, job for tomorrow night.

Removed the previously patched up battery tray, looks like a battery has lost it's lunch at some point in time. A quick tidy up and it'll be ready for some paint.

Scott those front shocks are they the RX7 inserts or are they the 2way adjustables

Make sure you bore the hole in the bottom of the tube where the adjuster pokes through alot bigger than it is now or you'll have oil pissing out the bottoms when the strut tube flexes!
