covert auto to manual which xmember to use

I have a mk2 escort which was originally a 1600 auto i now have fitted a 2ltre pinto with 4 speed but the manual xmember is too short and i have fitted a auto xmember but is 65mm away from gearbox mount hole none of the xmember holes line up..does any one know what xmemeber im ment to use or what needs to be done

Hello.
I used the auto gearbox crossmember on my late model mk1 (1300xl auto) with spacers added and longer high tensile UNC bolts. Do remember using a small screw driver as a lever to help line the bolt holes up as they were a little bit out, but as stated previously manufacturing standards in 1974 were all over the shop.
Are you using the correct short/long combination 2 litre engine mounts and new engine rubbers?

This is the mount you want. It pretty much bolts straight up.
