Cooling system cleaner

Postby Mik Kay » Sat Jul 02, 2011 12:55 pm

A friend got me to look at her car, it had been overheating in 12 degree days. When i checked it was just red muddy water. The top tank had a LOT of small pieces of junk and the top radiator hose was lined with a hard surface that cracked off when the hose was twisted.
Has anyone tried any of the commercially available scale removing product or is there a good home made version.
The radiator itself is full copper.
