Replacing Rotton Top Plates

Just taken the front spension strengthening plates off the inner wings and found alot of rot. I need to replace the top of the inner wing.

Smcka stocks the short top plate replacement panels but not the nice long ones. My rot extends towards the bulkhead so I could really do with the long ones.

Question: What have other people used - long or short?

I could grab the short ones (cheaper and quicker to arrive) then add extra metal between it and the bulkhead area to which the inner wing joins. Not sure if it will be worth the extra hassle or not?

I have used long, short, Inner Guard full length tops, full inner guards, or sheet steel.

Most of the long and short ones are a poor fit, the ExPressed full length tops are a great fit.
But all of it is useable depending on your skill level when it comes to shaping metal and cutting and shutting joins.

So it depends really on the extent of the rot, and your own skill level which is the best panel to use, if you are comfortable and capable of maing the sections not covered by the repair plate, then why not fill it in with some extra metal.
Make sure you get rid of all rot from the double skinned sections though
