Dan read it, understand it.

However, you are not telling us/him you drain off the oil from rocker cover, straight to sump in a AN-10.

If he was to use a pom pump, he would likely need to run a restriction into head feed, else as u say, the sump will fill up, at speeds needed to scavenge the sump.

Have you [ever] scavenged direct from head, with a 4 stage pump ?

I would like to see how you guys are mounting the US pumps to your blocks, in images.

Roger you need to do more research on YB heads as they are already restricted in standard for as they only use one oil feed to the head being the front ascending gallery instead of the three that a pinto uses and the one gallery it does use is restricted by a steel ball and a brass retaining ring to act as a one way valve.
The -10AN line I use out of the back of the head is so that I can block the drain in to the back of the block as drains around the rear counterweights on the crank creating turbulance. The front left drain is still used

Got the sump pan and they sent the one with escort crossmember clearance

- so may try and lower the engine a bit.

Also the three piece fittings do not look too bad (however yet to try). Are these the same as you had to remake danny?

OK - I can get a Dailey pump which is a 1.7 wide stage twin scavange roots style pump and a 1.2 wide spur gear pressure section. They will make any mounts I want done for no extra cost.

I have told them mains and big end clearances as well as "guesstimating" 3GPM oil for the YB - which Dailey said was about right and have even done a YB before.

Any thoughts?

They said i may have to reverse seals or get new seals made - what have you done Mik/Danny?

I hear what your saying lincoln as i was made aware of this issue of seal leakage early on as well but this is a question better directed to danny. The seals in my zetec, mainly the sump gasket and rear main setup are totally different to what you have in a pinto type block.

Lincoln stop thinking too much and give me a ring as I have all the priving and no with one of those pumps you will never make much vacuum as they aren't efficient enough and if you set up a rotor pump correctly you will never have a problem

I do have a problem thinking (should that also be drinking) too much - thanks for the info and the help again - send me your details. It is rare to recieve this information so freely, certainly those who have done this in the UK treat it as highly classified information (or they pretend to know).
