so guys what is the best average hp from a worked 2ltr sohc

My mk2 was always a street car, I used to love driving it around in the UK, I am a bit more paranoid about getting caught by sneaky speed traps and the like here though.

I have to say though as much as I still enjoy using the MK2 or similar on the road, as I get older I want comfort for every day driving, still has to have some performance too though.

i know this is a pretty old post but i have a pretty old car/engine too lol
anyway i put my car on dysons dyno dynamics portable rolling road on sat , 1st time in over 20 yrs
it made max power @ just over 7000 rpm
205 ft/lbs tourqe
125 bhp@ the rear wheels
ambient airtemp aprox 32 c
the car was hot to start with
not ideal conditions but still a good place to start
i dont know what all this means in terms of "REAL" horsepower but
the std line of bullshit usualy means the owner of the car quotes
slightly inflated figures & all the detractors find a way to lower those figures ,
in real terms some where in between should be close
