oil cooler and accusump fitment

Oil coolers?
i have a new Mocal oil cooler set up ready to fit into mk1 with pinto.
i also have a 3pint accu sump to fit as well.

now i can see 2 possible ways to fit-
1/ plumb the accusump in to the return line near the sandwich plate with 1 way valve in return line as per instructions by accusump, or
2/ install a T piece where my oil pressure switch is on the main oil gallery line is and plumb it in there,

anyone had past experience/ problems

My 2 bobs are.................

seeing as its usually the number 4 con rod bearing that goes from oil starvation, probably due to the distance from pump, I feel it would be best plumbed into the oil pressure hole towards the rear of block.
I certainly would tap out that hole to 1/2" though.



The oil cooler needs to be mounted a certain way, to avoid air entrapment.

PS if its making some gee gees, ull need a 16 row cooler.



and its best to run a oil temp gauge.

i do like that simple idea of oil temp gauge sender in the sump plug location

and those pics of the oil feed system and oil cooler fitment just solved another question.
