It's not as critical to use the studs in the mains of a pinto due to the length and with some dry sump installations you're restricted to running normal Ford bolts like mine but you need to check condition chase the threads on the block and buy a good torque wrench and have it calibrated periodically
I see your point, it's just that every other bolt and stud are arp so i thought I might aswel finish it off with the mains. I dont have any plans to run a dry sump any time soon. I ordered what I thought was the right studs the part number is 151-5401 but these studs have a thread size of 1.25 at each end when the block end needs to be 1.75.
Has anybody ordered this part number before and had the same problem?
