Torana Pistons + Datsun Rods... how?

Can anyone tell me which fiesta diesel rods to use?
I believe the 1600 ones are correct but there is more than one?
Along with capri 2.8i pistons this gives 2.2ltrs im led to believe.

Hi Paul

No idea about the Fiesta rods

You can stroke the crank 2 mm with the datto rods, they are strong, they are cheap and if you get stuck i know a bloke who has heaps of them, he is here in Melbourne

Pistons could be good

I did it with VW pistons but i think there are a few other options around

I doubt the ACL Rana pistons have any performance advantage over the STD ford pistons.

De stroking a crank costs in the vicinity of $400, this side of Australia.

Michael green used Mahle Volkswagen pistons to good effect with Datsun 1600 cc rods [from memory], but he lost at least 2 blocks, because some 200 thou [5mm] needed to be removed from top of block.
