guess it all depends on what your idea of "streetable" is,
for some people that means a car that idles perfect at all temperatures, doesn't sneeze or fart when driving slowly, never overheats, and isn't too noisey.

That's my definition - but I want a bit of noise and want to maintain some respectability in situations where acceleration from traffic lights dictates being ahead of the person in the neighbouring lane.

For me, rego sticker pretty well is the only requirement. :wink:

When I first got the Grp C car back in 1988, it was road registered courtesy of a friendly motor workshop :wink:

Used to drive it from Beenleigh to Labrador on the Pacific Hwy and back for work, complete with cage, harnesses, 48mm Webers, rocket box, 3.9 LSD, rose jointed suspension and the 120L fuel tank in the boot. Used to pull up at the servo, open the boot and push the fuel filler down the neck of the dry break to fill up.

I used to get some wierd looks from the attendant, especially when they used to pull up the litres pumped :shock:

No radio though, but then it didn't need one. There was a mechanical symphony going on all around you

Yep.

Actually ran quite well, as a few 5L Commodores used to find out :twisted:
