Here's some info.

Superlite Classic rim 15x7 100pound rrp 8.56 Kg / 18.8lb per rim
Superlite Ultralite 3 piece rim 15x7 187pound rrp 7kg / 15.4lb per rim

My 2c worth is that if you want to keep the car from dragging on the ground at minimum cost, get a set of rims off ebay. Something like a set of SAAB steel rims. That won't break the bank and you can flog them off again once you have the money to get what you want.

If you're really after new rims and want Panasports then save up and get the Panasports. Spending money on new rims that aren't what you want doesn't add up.

7.11 Wheels and tyres
(i) Wheels and tyres must comply with Schedule E.
Wheels may be manufactured only from aluminium alloy, steel or magnesium.
Tyres must be marked legal for road use as indicated by the presence of either DOT or ECE markings.
Any tyres marked “not for highway use”, “for racing use only” or similar are not permitted.
(ii) The minimum tyre aspect ratio percentages are:
Groups C1, C2, C3
* Up to 1946 70
* 1947-1971 50
* post-1971 40
Lower aspect ratios are not permitted unless specified by the manufacturer as standard, in which case that
profile is the minimum permitted.
Tyres that are not marked with a percentage aspect ratio by the manufacturer during the manufacturing
process are not permitted, except where the tyre has an aspect ratio greater than 70.
Note: The tyre market is in a constant state of development and that continual monitoring will be required in
relation to availability, which may result in ongoing amendment to this regulation.

just got an email from Minilite in the UK. Apparently they have the Minilite listed as 9.1kgs!!!!!!!!!!

There is only 1 original: the Minilite wheel.
All other are copies and in my personal opinion the Panasport isn't a proper copy ...

Minilite/Tech Del in the UK is a very reputable company they sell and send wheels all over the world.
The only wheel in magnesium nowadays is the 6Jx13 and maybe the 7Jx13 if you buy 100 in 1 go and they can find the correct magnesium for them. All other sizes are alloy wheels.

Hey Oz dont know who you spoke to in the UK but i had 2 sets of minilights sent over last year at different times. delivered to my door with nuts and caps $900 Au. Total weight on shipping documents was 31KG.

That makes them AUD$225 delivered per wheel which is a better price than the local Performance ones and much better than Minilite quoted me (AUD$282!!!!!!!). I thought the exchange rate was getting better for us?
