1980 Mk2 Escort RS2000 2 door (Australian delivery)

This RS2000 has been in my ownership since 2003 and has been stored (unregistered). It was stripped down to a rolling shell prior to my ownership. I put it together quickly just to get it on the road (never happened haha).

This car presents in useable condition.

I bought this car with the intention to restore however I have too many projects and do not have the time.

Car is located Brisbane south side

Quick notes;

1. Car is not registered and will be sold as is where is. Can be driven onto a trailer.
2. Comes with spare driver’s front guard, good nose cone and decal kit.

No tyre kickers or dreamers please. The car will be sold to genuine enthusiast only.

Body

• Sno White as per ID tags
• Genuine 11918 (2 door RS2000) body
• Some rust in usual spots. Passenger side front floor section has been replaced at some stage.
• Damaged (but repairable front driver’s guard) – good spare supplied see note 2.
• Fire wall and heater bubble are immaculate
• NO sunroof!
• Tinted windows

Interior

• Standard (black) RS2000 interior. Has RS Scheel seats, RS dash, RS steering wheel etc
• Has rear seat but is not RS.

Suspension

• Lowered. Lowering blocks in rear and lowered springs in front. Work performed by previous owner

Brakes

• Standard RS2000

Motor
• 2.0 Pinto – starts and runs
• Modified 32/36 carb (carb body has been reamed and larger throats installed along with appropriate jets, emulsions etc)
• Extractors
• Tidy engine bay (see body)

Gearbox

• RS2000 4 speed manual with RS shifter

Diff

• Standard RS2000

Wheels

• 14 inch SAAB wheels.
