Queensland Super Sprint State Championship

Hi everybody just a report on the Qld Super Sprint State Championship, which was on the 13th and 14th of October at Morgan Park Raceway in Warwick Qld. I was the only Escort there out of 72 entrents. I run in the Sports Sedan class [ thought the car is street registered ] we ran Track K [3km] on Saturday which I finshed second in class and 6th outright with a new PB of 1.26.84 then on Sunday we ran track D [1.5km] on that track which not a big fan of I got First in class and second outright. Then the best 3 lap event from each day is added together for the overall result. I managed to win the Sports Sedan class [couple of the fast cars had mechanical failures, Engine block vented, WRX and a broken axle, VK Commodore ] and I got second outright overall. Good weekend the only bad part was the two roll overs on the Saturday on Track K at the T or turn 7 a Pulsar first then last run a corolla barrel rolled and went over the tire wall on the left hand side of the track and into the bush. Everyone was okay cars not good at all. Great event great value more people should run it. Results are on Mylaps there is a link through Morgan Park Raceway web site.
