I used to do these back in the UK many years ago, it was good fun cheap motorsport.

It's called Autotesting over there

The club I was with didn't charge much for these events, and the format was usually 8 different tests (circuits) over 1 day, 15-30 mins with map and to walk round cone circuit, then 2 timed runs, fastest run at each test counts.

At end of all 8 person who has done the fastest total time in class wins (plus prizes for second, third etc) and then fastest time of day overall wins outright.

Did very well at it in Escorts, Always top 3 in class, but entered 1 event in a stock Mini 1275GT and took FTD Minis or Mini hybrids tend to dominate it, but they are in a different class to an Escort usually

Definitely worth a go if you are looking for a cheap days sport in your car

ive decided that i might enter the 1 on august 6 at lonsdale.
it shoud be fun.
