Thanks guys, had to happen eventually!! I've had a very good run for 8 years without hitting any solid objects.

Basically just ran out of talent at the last turn and couldn't pull it up before the plastic barrier. I had a rocker pad failure on the previous run and had only just managed to source ( with much appreciation to Sean Sorensen) and fit it and rush to the start for the next run with too much adreneline flowing I suspect. A spectator came up to me in the TAFE shed and said that "it certainly was spectacular up until that point"

I have been very fortunate with the damage actually, looks much worse than it actually is. It is really only a guard and some repairs to the front panel ( Wow, was there some bog in that!) Didn't damage the bonnet, door, inner guard, bumper, indicator or any suspension components. After the TAFE guys pulled, pushed and heated the guard straight I was able to complete all of the available runs.

Unfortunately all of the options for fixing it are expensive so the car will be taking an extended holiday until finances allow me to do it properly. As the car is not a genuine RS I may just end up putting a standard guard on that side with a fibreglass Twin Cam lip.

Luckily for me David it is the only event that I do that actually has the TAFE guys there!! They allowed my to get back out and have another successful weekend.
