Thinking about it as it was great fun and really well organised last time. We only used the short front track (180 RH at end of front straight) so brakes never got really hot.

We're heading up tomorrow (Friday). to set up and get it through scrutineering. Hope to catch up with all those going. Might be a slow trip up the hill though.

Hi all, we had a relatively succesfull weekend, running in the 'new' engine on Saturday and competing in the sprints on Sunday. I was a bit slower than last year, but on a set of really old tyres so I was pretty happy. All home in one piece, which unfortunately can't be said for a few others. Thanks to Darren W (who should have been competing!) for helping out the organisers at a flagpoint. Good to catch up with a few of the faces behind the forum names.

Yes Nev, it was, Jamie (son??) was driving. I don't know what happened as I was in the paddock at the time and only heard it. It was turn 1 and rolled multiple times. I heard they took him off to hospital, probably pretty sore but there wasn't any sudden stop involved. I can't comment on his condition as I didn't hear any other updates during the day.

The front left may tell part of the story. If this is what happened, I did the same thing a couple of years ago and got away with it. If the tail comes around at turn 1 and you don't catch it in time, you can go sideways onto the infield. If you're unlucky you can hit the leading edge of the inside curb of turn 2. If it digs in then over you go. I busted up a lower ball joint, steering arm, rim and tyre, scraped the underside of the passenger floor on the turn 2 kerb and made the engine bounce up and ding the rocker cover on the strut brace.
