Well done Lachlan. Motorsport needs lots more guys with your passion and dedication. Such a coup to get Andy there racing. Really hope to get there soon to show you why you need an extra cam in your engine.
Cheers Peter

Thanks for the kind words Peter. Admittedly we did have a few issues but luckily Callan (Brother) was kind enough to loan the Starion for the weekend.

An extra camshaft.. pfffft. Pushrods are the way 'FORD'... Pardon the pun....

Hope to get you over next year Peter, we have already booked out the vineyards for your wine tasting!!!

TO explain it quickly and in the shortest possible form, Andy is a professional historic racing car driver from the U.K. He drives for JCB over in the U.K and other car collectors. He generally drives old sports cars and F1 cars, Mclaren M8F can am cars, to Le mans Jaguars and Lancia D50's at events such as the Goodwood revival, Goodwood festival of speed, Le mans Claissic, Laguna Seca... The list goes on!!!

Thanks Mate, came to that conclusion after a google search but nothing concrete.
What did he think of Australian Escorts while driving a starion.

He thought the Starion was an absolute pig to drive!!! Haha, it is quite a beast. Unfortunately we had a few issues with dad's car (the blue LiLO escort) which meant he had to jump into the Starion. He really enjoyed Baskerville, it's quite a tricky circuit to head your head around- to post a quick lap. Once your escort is done Justin, would love to see it run at the Historics.

Cheers

would it qualify for anything historic. Oldest and only original part on it is the roof skin and rear glass!
How did you get Andy to come over, family friends or payed him or was he coming anyway.
I remember spectating at Baskerville as a very young child mid/late 1970's, one of my earliest memories...that and the overflowing toilets...ewww hope they have fixed that!

Depending on what level you want to drive it at Justin. You could race it in the muscle cup car provided that it's not turbo charged. Must be N/A

Andy funded himself to come over which was great!! We attend the Phillip Island Classic annually and just asked the question. Well and truly paid off, got a huge crowd!! Biggest in 20 something odd years!!
