First off give her a good clean and take it back to original colour "burnt orange" I'd like to keep the auto try and keep it original but gotta find out how much power the lil auto can take before I get to excited engine wise I have a sierra 5 speed in the shed that would fit nicely though
good to see another more door RS rescued. Try digging up a copy of David Vizards book "How to modify Ford SOHC engines" - has a section on building C3 auto for high output engine
Wow, such a rare car. Congratulations. I hope you're inclined to make it as stock as possible, as it would be much more interesting to enthusiasts and valuable like that. If it were mine I'd probably put in a 134 cam and some head work to up the torque to compensate for the auto transmission.
A note regarding the Vizard book. The chapter on the auto trans is titled "Building a C3 Automatic Transmission", but as best I can tell from lightly skimming through it, every other reference is to C4. There are photos showing some of the differences between the parts used in the "4 cylinder applications" and the V-8s.
yeh gonna try to keep it as stock as possible besides engine internals just downloaded the vizard book says the c3 is rated to about 170bhp wich isnt to bad so i guess itl be a see how it goes experiment haha
Thanks glen must thank you for putting me onto it.. Il try and get as much out of the engine and auto as I can so it can back itself at the lights haha
