Davids RS 2000 2dr auto ongoing project

Gday guys this is my RS project which is going back together with new interior(I have original door trims,but I made powder coated panels as they are a neater look than the factory items) ,resprayed engine bay,refurbished wheels,a new(secondhand) bottom end (soon to have with 40mm dellortos and a group 1 spec head). 2.5"exhaust and extractors,5 speed,3.9 diff ,double width anti dive kit,bilsteins, volvo 4 pot calipers,tx3 slotted rotors,strut brace,5 leaf springs,every bush is new nolethene,etc....
I do want to fit coil over struts soonish as well.
The plan now is to drive this on the road on the weekends after owning it for 7 odd years Ive never had it regoed,Going through my old paper work/receipts for the car it was last regoed until october 1998 so thats over 10 years off the road and stored.

So I got abit of work done on it in the last few days the engine went in this morning and now need to fit ancillaries.

I broke a bloody stud for the exhaust manifold not happy!!!!!!!

welllllllllllllllll After 3 years of sitting in the shed gathering dust and extremelly big spiders(a funnell web scurried past me after it got alittle too hot for him) the RS fired back into life today,much to my surprise knowing the history of the engine has sat around for at least 5 years before i got it 2 years ago and after a coil change and some dizzy adjustments she fired relatively easy.
What I will have to do first thing im sure before rego will be to add a muffler as it extremely loud with the extractors and 2.5'" exhaust thru 1 straight flow muffler.
I even drove it around the backyard today and got a bit carried away mowing it whilst I was at it.

I am completely happy with todays outcome and now will surelyy celebrate with some fusions to finish the day off.
My aim this holiday before I return to work next week was to have the RS going, to have it regoed is another thing but its not that far away now ,then fit my good head and dellortos for something that i will be happy with until I gather the parts I need for a zetec conversion :grin:
