this is going to be my daily runabout, bought just to make use of some of the parts i have lying around and gave it a quick lick of paint, which didn't happen to quick when the paint reacted with the original paint and cracked everywhere.. @#$% happens, it'll do for the daily runabout but it is a bit ratty up close, could of gone with another coat of paint but ran out. anyways bought it around sept this year so didn't take tooo long i spose, took it for it's first spin on new years eve with the cough cough commodore no plates :shock:

hopefully get it rego'd this wk unless i get a prick of a mechanic and get my extractors and 2.25 exh on, plans are to get the running gear pretty good in this one then restore my other shell properly swap the bits over then restore this one[hopefully with forest arches] sometime this century some pics i didn't take any during the stages as i didn't think it would be worth it but i can take one of the boot to show it's still green inside if you don't believe me

cheers mate, well got the saftey cert today but not without drama no one wants to hear about "no anti pollution gear" and "demister" as my core was gone in the heater i just ran the hoses thru the firewall, then to 90 degree fittings to run it back out and zip tied it to the inside :roll:

and stuck the carbon canistor back on with the hoses looking right but with cut off bolts stuck up them.. still took a carton of beer to presuade him lucky it was in the boot

time for an update, here are some pics of how the engine bay has changed over time now i got a few wks off it's time make some more additions, personally i hate showing ppl under the bonnet because i didn't paint under there and it really needs it, but once everything is finalised it might comeout to weld the extra 100 holes that have been drilled for various setups, everthing has been done at home in the shed and to a budget and has only set foot in a workshop for a rwc, hopefully i can get it back on the road by jan 11th when i go back to work still got a heap to do

some of the parts in there : vl commodore fuel pump, blue top holden v8 injectors, sierra manifold, ef falcon coil pack, mondeo module, falcon crank trigger, ford laser throttle cable, s13 t25 turbo, the setup i'm going for now is not for power but more driveability so a std head will be going back on with a 2mm decompression plate, compression will be in the low 8's will be interesting to see how it goes still got pull the sump for an oil return, do the oil supply line for the turbo then if i still got some $$ redo the whole exhaust

Looks good, it will be interesting to see how you go. What management are you using ?

How much boost are you planning on running ? It might be a good time to save and get some pistons out of the UK while the dollar is strong, you can pick up Mahle's for a reasonable amount.
