I would assume you checked the spark quality or all the connections for your ignition system?

i know this may sound like stating to obvious but have cheaked that the rear brakes are not grabbing of hand brake is on (if you have one) and theres oil in the gearbox and diff?

I agree with Warren & Stuart. It has to be something really basic.
Did the engine sound completely different on the dyno? With that big a drop off the engine would have sounded very "flat".

Which seats have the issues and where did you set the cam timing

You will have lost a fair amount of recorded power if the car was strapped down too low in the rollers.

To compound this problem if you have your soft race tyres on they disort more creating a larger friction loss.

Is the same diff ratio in?

Is he running it up in the same gear?

As for the car think basic, is:

The fuel pump ok - just because it revs and shows 12.5 doesn't mean it's keeping up.
Are the floats ok
Has a baffle moved in a muffler
If you run air cleaners was it run with and without them

Update......
Put it all back together last week, but couldn't get it on the dyno before last weekends meeting.
So I used the Dorian as my dyno.
Either she's lost a couple of HP (not 60) or I'm rusty
Lap times were a second or two off, pulling gears about the same places though.

So I've filled out the entry forms for the V8 round next month

Had a great weekend at the V8 Supercar round. (meaning I drove the car onto the trailer without panel damage on Sunday arvo....)
There was 5 Escorts on the grid, John and Peter brought theirs over from QLD and we fielded 3 locally.

Practice and qually on Friday was uneventful.
Saturday we had race 1 & 2 and Sunday race 3 & 4, but its about time I bought another camera. Bloody thing didn't record race 1 & 3......

Race 1 - Stayed out of trouble and made a few places.

Race 2 - Started OK, but had a little trouble into turn 1. Might have been a bit different if I had a laminated screen (no id marks on the old one). Replaced it Saturday arvo ready for Sunday.

Race 3 - Wish I had footage, started ROG in 27th and made my way up to 16th. That would have to of been my best race of the weekend, loved it

Race 4 - Had a bit of fun with a commonwhore until his engine died.

This year was really bad for stones and crap, quite a few screens were replaced in our category.
By the way Gary, there's bugger all paint left on the front bumpers, even the blue has turned green (original colour)
