For anyone in Brisbane, I can highly recommend Advanced Trailer Spares for cables. They can reproduce factory cables, or if you take 2 ends and give them a length they can make just about anything. I've had cables made to adapt EB Falcon calipers on the rear of my '65 Mustang to an EF Falcon handbrake lever. The calipers look very similar to the R31's. They also made a replacement for my X1/9.
Not cheap, but never any problems.

Whoa - it's been a while since an update - although no great advancements have been made 
Engine is in and my custom WCXM basically finished and I'm finalising the trans mount.
I still have a fair bit of rust to sort out before I can haggle someone to paint it.

I also decided to get some engine bits ready for the day I catually need them 
EFI Hardware 40-45mm tapered throttle bodies (once I get past engineering
)
JE Forged 11:1 pistons + Eagle rods
Supertech 1mm OS valves (currently going into the new head)
4-1 SS headers from the UK (OK I have had these for a while).

I have built my own cable clutch pedal box and I have also added the hydraulic clutch variant.
If anyone is intereseted in one on an exchange basis then let me know.
They come supplied with;
Nodified OEM pedal box shell.
Modified OEM brake pedal.
Tilton 7/16 bias bar assembly.
Modified OEM clutch pedal (if applicable).
All zinc plated.
Image below (M/C not included).
