& get a realy good set of tuned length ones
its the 1st best thing to do now
then its arguable wether 2.5" pipe will improve much

its kind of relative are you running 48mm webers with 42 mm chokes ??

Yeah, I'm sure a set of Danny's "Gonzo" pipes would be the business on there Steve. I should have bought that 2nd hand set that came up on here a while back.

It runs 48mm throttle bodies which Paul custom made a set of chokes for, not sure if they're 40 or 42mm? Apparently the chokes made almost no difference to the maximum flow on the bench, but they certainly (along with a few other things I guess) seem to have made a big difference to the responsiveness.

After about 3 years sitting in the shed, finally got around to fitting Steve's carbon fiber door trims.

They look a gazillion times better than the ratty old ones and fit beautifully. Thanks Steve.

Our club hosted the 4th round of the NSW Rally Sprint series yesterday.
I threw away my 10 year old tyres, threw in a highly experienced navigator and a little local knowledge, and surprised everyone (not least myself) by winning out right by 55 seconds from Nathan Quinn.
The new set of Dunlops were a revaluation, she could really put her new found power down and I couldn't believe how hard I could tip her in.
Awesome fun!

Lesson learnt, the hard way. If everything just doesn't seem to be going your way and is too rushed - know when to give up!

I didn't, which lead to a rear calliper falling off and resulted in barrel rolling through a fence at the end of a 5th gear straight.
