So are the capri struts just for the bigger brake set up or for bigger hubs ect, Is it no good just to do a brake upgrade on the escort strut and put springs and inserts In them.

Bigger stub axles helps, that's why we all look for Capri or English RS struts.

BTW, welcome to the forum. Mate used to have an FJ20 in a Stanza years ago and it was a good thing. Then he turbo'd it and it was a real good thing.

MK1 Capri struts have a bit of neg camber, lower spring height and are all round a bit stronger.

Did a bit of firewall/tunnel mods to try to get the fj in position for starting the mounts this afternoon,Such a hard job whem my driveway is a hill.

Hi Jason, did you consider chassis mounting the engine?, depends if you want to run in a certain class then you cant. That way you could set the engine forward a little bit and not have to cut through the bulkhead much. Giving that sill to Danny M this weekend who will give it to Mickas for you. Cheers Rob

The start of my engine mounts,My weldings not great so i taged them and taking them to a work mate to weld once set in car the other side will be stiched to the rail.Decided to go with the chassie mount route.The bush im using is a falcon control arm bush in polyurethane. Bit of shaping of the plates once welding will be done also.Pic of one side

Good stuff Jason, Just be careful with the clearance around the extractors and the steering column/knuckle.

Hi all due to buying a finnished car now off a member of the site am selling this project as space is precious. As a roller with all the glass trims ect I have for it I will sell for $2000 firm this will come with the new round headlight front panel with buckets the new floor pans left hand sill also one new screen rubber new tail light indicator reverse light door handle gasket set brand-new indicator lenses. Or with all the fj20 gear I have with it including the rn25 diff for $4000 firm thanks guys
