If anyone is interested some more rust removed. is worse then the escort and 26 years younger...damn british roads.
finished the sill off and discovered a bit of rust in the rear panel


so thought 'while im here' and out with the spot weld drill

then trial fit the new one...well rust free second


also finished off the sill and primed and seam sealed for that ever lasting feeling



and been painting things black again

there is no way the compliance engineer is goint to have anything to complain about
so pulled the rear subframe and discovered this



so of to the sandblasters to see what remains after a good dose of abrasive blasting.

I never noticed this thread. Awesome! I owned a 4 door sedan for 15 years. I learnt to drive in it and it faithfully took me all over the country never missing a beat. I always wondered what the AWD looked like. I toyed with the idea of converting the 4 door into AWD. Moved onto Escorts instead. Keep us updated.
