Holy bejezus was that photo up against the tree and action shot...looks like the navigator has just hit the floor after being thrown out of it. ! looks like you got away quite lightly really other than the navigator of course.

The car was blocking the road, so we drove it up in behind the tree. Sitting in the bush waiting to be recovered we decided to get a couple of good action shots, so Lee went back and lay beside the car, we have another when it was pulled back out onto the road with a trail of parts leading away from the tree. We hit it at about 80kph, so not a real big hit.

Unfortunately, the corner of the sump guard got caught by the tree and moved the LH chassis rail back 2 1/2 inches at the fire wall. The panel shop has it back within 2.5mm of where it should be, so it's probably better than when it left the factory. hopefully I'll be refitting the flare this weekend if the weather is good.

I only blew my engine up and haven't managed to get back out there for over 5 years! At least not in my car, anyway.

Spent a couple of hours down the shed Yesterday and again this morning. I should have paint on it this week, a wheel alignment by Saturday, which leaves me a week to drive it around to see what other faults the accident may have caused.

No photos or video, but I managed to get the car out on Saturday for the local club event.

We were still doing a tape measure wheel alignment at 9am on the day of the event, so we'd cut our preparation a little fine and decided it would be a good day just to get a feel for the car again and see what it'd do.

A rain affected event, which caused a reduction in the overall distance. We were quickest 2wd all day, until we found that we'd started to bend a front strut (unfortunately due to time we didn't run with our usual Bilstien suspension and had some standard struts fitted without bracing ), so we slowed down for the !! cautions a little too much on the final stage and dropped from 3rd outright to 5th. And from 1st 2wd to 2nd. Overall a good outing after 7 months on the sidelines, and no panel damage for a change!
