Okay, Some updates.
Got myself a new welder, so started welding up some holes in the engine bay, You know those millions of screw holes left by previous owners for who knows what.
Smoothed them of afterwards, It's starting to look a lot better, Still got more to go though, but need some steel plates before I go any further.

Also in my working, I found a couple of small rust holes at the front of the passenger side gaurd, so thought I would strip it back and see how bad it was.

So I am trying to decide what to do about it before I go any further as I don't want to finish of the bay and get etch primer on it, just to end up pulling the guard of and having to re do some of it.
So I am looking and depending on what is available will determine my course of action.
I am looking for a passenger side guard to replace the hole thing preferably, but at worst just the front section.
Also though, it has had a bump in teh drivers corner at one stage, and whoever repaired it, removed the drivers guard, pulled things back out and brazed the guard back on, but it coulc do with being replaced as the inner guard at the top is still a bit buckled and the slam panel edge is not straight etc, So if available I would also want to replace the drivers guard, slam panel, a piece of the drivers inner guard and the front apron panel along with the passenger guard.
I will also later need a bit of A pillar section and passenger side floor section and sill sections. But they are later.
I just need the front panel's for now.

So I need 2 things,
1) advice from the guys who may have done this and wether I should tackle changing the front over or just try and repair this guard.
2) You know what I need, Let me know what you have got that can help me out and what $$$ it's going to cost me.

Ok Small update. Decided to put the front end on hold as it's going to be a big job to fix that thing. So went to the back end and started there.
Just going to clean up the whole underbody cause it's covered in filth, and I mean piles of it. And then just paint fresh underbody black, and fit the diff and springs that I have prepared earlier as they have all new nolathane bushes in them.

Almost all stripped out, the fuel line that runs from the top of the tank to the filler neck, and the filler neck left now.


They will come out and it will be cleaned and painted on the weekend
And hopefully the diff and springs and fuel tank and sorts all put back in.
