understeering Mk2

Hello all.

My old man has a Mk2 race car that I get to drive every now and then and it understeers worse than me when I was learning to snowboard... It's built for improved production so stock TCA's, Koni double adjustable's, fat roll bar, all the normal stuff. what camber/ caster tyre pressure/temps should I be aiming for?
I am also about to start building a turbo pinto Mk1 2 door with bubble arches for the street, what's the go for that?

does it have a locked diff??

have you tried a thinner sway bar? using one thats to thick tends to cause this same effect.

What size is the front bar and springs and what tyres has it got also what sort of rear set up does it have as that will also efect things

Wow, thanks for getting back to me

It runs on Advan AO48's at around 32psi hot and on the front its runs 350Lbs front springs and a 24mm sway bar and at the back it's got a clutch type LSD, panhard rod and tramp bars on the top of the diff like a mk1 Capri, no sway bar and multi leaf springs.

Also, I was looking at the white Mk2 with the Cosworth engine in the Projects section that been in "Race" mag, what sort of setup does he run? Are 15'' rims alowed in IPRA now?

I'll find some softer springs, drop the panhard and try to do a back to back to see what happens. Oh, and it's got a dry sump YB. 250 hp & 9000rpm but only take it to 8500. I'll put up some pics (BOA MK3 Capri?) if you like and I can work out these spark boxes...

Steve you got that wrong
If you've got enough grunt it doesn't matter how stiff or soft the rear is it's oversteer city!!!!
