HELP!!!!
Any suggestions as to what I can do??
The front leaf spring eye bolts have rusted inside the ferrells!!!!
And yes I have tried an FBH and done a lot of swearing!!! The only idea that i have come up with is to use an angle grinder with metal cutting blade and cut up either side of the leaf!!!!

Yes I know, next time put some anti-sieze on the bolts!!!

Gary the best thing to do is get a bigger hammer as it will root the bolt but if you hit it hard enough it will break free eventually

Got the bastard.

Had to cut it out with an angle grinder. Not even a VVFBH would budge it!

The other side came out pretty easily after extensive use of WD spray (and swearing as the exhaust was temperamental in it's removal).

One set of Mk1 springs for sale (less one thru bolt).

hey Gary are you putting new springs in? I just finished putting new spring, Bilstien shocks and a watt linkage in (thanks for the help from Danny), I havn't driven the car yet to see if this will help with wheel tramp, but done a burnout in the drive way and it seems to be ok, I will send some photo's soon,

Steve with your tyres if it was going to tramp it would have done it!

Hi Steve,
Yes I am putting a Hilux rear end in and will need "centre eye" rears springs to allow me to lower the car and still have some clearance from the chassis rail.

Please drop in next time you're in town. I'd like to know more about what springs you're using to stop tramp. Mind you probably no use to my gravel spec car.
