In conjuntion with my other post on Power Steering, has anyone tried to completely convert the front suspension using more modern struts. we would like to be able to use 60 mm proflex type coil suspension on the front to lessen the harsness experience with the current set up required for gravel rallying ie capri struts and bilstien inserts

PS. We already have a proflex (Murray Coote) coil over set up on the rear. Car is full group 4 with 6 link rear end running a 2.1 lt cosworth / holbay 16v used in Gravel ralling in Australia
Gidday again. Go and talk to Murray as I'm pretty sure he's recently done some front struts for a MK1 Escort over here. It ran in Targa NZ this year and finished 3rd outright from memory. Not much Escort about it other than the body shell however. Nissan turbo V6 and box, Falcon touring car diff etc. One of the guys I know who works on it says it transformed the handling. I'll be seeing him on the weekend so will see if I can find out more.
