Type 9 query

Postby David W » Mon Jul 15, 2013 7:08 pm

Should I have spacers between the gearbox mount and the floor pan ? If I do have them does it create any alignment issues in the drivetrain (eg: rear of gearbox is too low)?

What crossmember are you running? I've got an auto x-member and it's directly on the floor. With the original engine mounts it was too low at the rear and the driveline angles were way off. Had to make up some new engine mounts to drop the engine down as there's no room to lift the rear of the gearbox without reshaping the tunnel a bit.

Engine driveline angle (which should match the diff 'nose up' angle) is 4 degrees.

Original mount is in place - manual. How do I measure this 4 degrees?
