For those interested, here is the explanation from Webcity.

The system which holds your account started to exibit disk issues yesterday afternoon. Starting after hours our sysadmins began work to to ensure data integrity on the system while working to replace the disks and restore data.

The data at this time is being restored from backup still but all should be almost done. If your site is still offline at this time it is expected that it will return to full service soon.

As this system is one of our earliest systems it is not covered by the HASA redudancy system meaning that the length of downtime was longer then a system covered by this would be. We have however attempted to ensure that service is restored as soon as is possible after such an issue.

We thank you for your understanding at this time.


Thanks to all who emailed me letting me know the site was down. Unfortunately in this case there was nothing I could do to resurrect it- it was just a matter of waiting until they had rebuilt the server.

was it an overloaded kent engine on the dyno?
then again
it might have been the good ol LUCAS electrics upsetting rogers computer

what points gap & dwell settings should i be running on my
current setup "windows 1976" any idea ?
