Howdy

This is a car run, on public roads, from the sea [the Bay] to Birdwood [country town] here in Adelaide.

This event is fairly large and is split, yearly, into vintage and classic.
This year was Classic. The event was fully subscribed @ 650 cars.

You know you're getting old when a lot of the cars that make up these events are the cars you grew up around as a kid (EHs,EKs,HQs,XBs,XCs etc) and it just doesn't seem that long ago that they were the most common cars getting around. Although I must say Adelaide probably has one of the oldest average age of cars on the road getting around anywhere. Here in the eastern US I think they average age is probably 3 or 4 years, Adelaide it is probably 10 or 15 years.

I still remember when they wouldn't let even an FJ Holden into the Bay-to-Birdwood.. now that was a while ago
