Hi I'm Mick currently in the last few weeks of living in the UK planning on moving to the Sydney area in April/May.

I will be looking for a solid Mk1 Escort Coupe to build a replica of my dads old car, a Purple 1300 Sport. Time and money will dictate what I actually get but that's my plan.

I have had loads of Mk1 and 2 Escorts of most body shapes but that was when they were a few hundred quid, can't afford one in the UK now so moving to Oz so I can

There's a few Englishmen who've made the pilgrimage over the last few years and quite a crowd in Sydney so you should fit right in.

As John said there's been a few for sale lately so I'm sure it won't take long for you to find one once you get here.

Make sure you bring a box or two of goodies with you as the exchange rate from AUD to GBP has fallen and it really hurts to buy stuff out of the UK again.

Thanks for the welcomes, I have been keeping an eye on ebay and seen a few project cars but the last one, a lime green battered one was a bit too far gone for a start point. Im looking firward to getting there and finding one...
