Not sure whether it is a repackaged brand name or not. Waiting on an answer from them. Seems alot cheaper than speedflow. Maybe rebadged Earls. I am told to stear clear of Earls as it leaks but as you all know Speedflow aint cheap!!! (I can actually buy some speedflow items off the speedflow UK website than I can here....go figure!!!)

Glenn what are you complaining about Speedflow is CHEAP, go and price some Earl's fittings or even better go and price some Brown & Miller/Icore hose like I've used and you'll get a better picture and the Poms are paying an absolute premuim compared to us as I've bought many thousands of dollars of it and still have a large collection of Speedflow and trust me it's cheap if you're buying for the right places

So far I have costed Earls (from a US website) and it is far cheaper than Speedflow (costed up using the www.mscn.com.au distributor's website). From the prices I have found I wouldnt exactly call Speedflow cheap.

Where would you suggest is the cheapest place to buy Speedflow then?

for speedflow try Extreme Motorsport in Brisbane, I found them cheaper than going direct to speedflow

Cheers Roger and Belly. Outlaw Speed shop (driven past a zillion times but just never thought of them!!!) sell AeroFlow. Not heard much about them. Worth looking into? I will stick to Speedflow unless somebody tells me they are better..........

If you buy a lot of fittings and hose, even adding the cost of the postage/exchange it usually works out cheaper from o/s. Now that it's dollar for dollar it's even better. My experience with summit is that if your order consists of stocked items you'll usually get delivery within a week or very shortly thereafter. Website is very user friendly too.

Cheers Oz. Summit gear would be Earls though? I have seen that it is always cheaper than Speedflow but I have also been told by several sources not to bother with it as it leaks!!??

Dont bother with Earls yes it leaks and when you try to fix it, it leaks even more. You would be better off using Ryco hydraulic fittings least there swaged and cheap.
Another option that rarely get mentioned is the Aeroquip fittings. Its a good option if your looking to purchase in the states.
easy on par with speedflow.

ok Speedflow or Aeroquip....now just comes down to what I can get from where cheapest .

The dollars I have to invest in hose ends, I cannot afford to get this decision wrong.

If you want a heap of cheap SpeedFlow I've got a stack of new and used fittings left over from mines as I'm no longer using it in my car

For the breather line is this the right sort of flapper valve???????

Geez, you wouldn't want to have to buy too many of them now! $$$ Why a valve in the breather line?

Danny has indicated that in order to build up some vacuum in the block it will be needed (else the pump effectively sucks air through the scavenge via the breather line).

Expensive suckers aint they!

And I havent even thought about whether to put check valves of some sort in the scavenge lines to prevent the oil tank back-filling the sump when not in use!!!!
