Group 1 axles

Postby Mik Kay » Fri Apr 29, 2011 3:49 pm

Got a couple of small issues with these Tran-x axles 2 piece axles. With the axles fitted into the housing and the lock nut only hand tight the rear of the hub is hard up to the bearing retainer. The rear of the hub is also hard up to the inner race of the bearing. This will not allow the hub to move inward any further, but as the lock nut is only had tight it will have to go a long way before it catches the outer locking part of the nut.

1) are the standard rear wheel bearings used for these axles. I was told they were.
2) are the hubs meant to be hard up against the bearing or are they meant to lock against the machined chamfer on the axle.

Thanks

Mik
